This image was inspired by an underpass (now filled in) at an old Catholic school near my home. Originally when I discovered the scene it had a rusty bicycle but was gone when I came back with my camera. The school is now a subdivision.

This is a great evocative painting. Although it is a 'modern' ruin, it reminds me of broken, ancient Empires, long since lost in the turmoils of history, together with all their hopes and dreams of glory and religious beliefs.
